THOMASVILLE, N.C. — While Carolina Panthers star quarterback Cam Newton has taken some heat for his on-field celebrations, there are plenty of fans, both young and old, who have taken to dabbing to support their Super Bowl-bound team.
A group of seniors at Piedmont Crossing, a retirement community in North Carolina, showed their Panthers pride and proved you’re never too old to dab.
According to Sports Illustrated, the dabbing dance move was made popular by the rap group Migos in Atlanta in the summer of 2015. Newton began adding the dab to his post-touchdown end zone celebrations this season, and the rest is history.
