Teacher, coach accused of accosting 15-year-old jogger appears in court

A former Needham High School teacher appeared in court on Friday after allegedly accosting a teenage jogger in July.

The teacher and former freshmen football coach, 31-year-old Aaron Dungca, was charged with annoying and accosting a person, after an alleged incident in Auburn on July 10.

Court documents say he pulled up next to a 15-year-old jogger and offered her $20 to show him her breasts.

Police say the teenager yelled, "No, perv!" at Dungca, got his license plate number and reported the encounter to police.

When an Auburn Police detective first questioned Dungca later that same evening, he came clean, according to the police report, and allegedly admitted he made the comments like the teen said he did.

Dungca resigned from his positions at Needham High School before the school year began, and the school's superintendent sent a letter to parents at the time.

“We are aware of no circumstance in which the teacher in question has ever jeopardized the safety or well-being of any Needham Public School students," the letter read in one section. “Should we ever become aware of concerning, inappropriate, or illegal behavior involving any staff member (past or present), we would take immediate action."

Dungca pleaded not guilty in court, and could get six months maximum in jail for the charges.
