Surveillance video captures hit-and-run in Brockton

BROCKTON, Mass. — Brockton Police are searching for the driver who hit a pedestrian outside a Brockton bar Friday night.

Surveillance video shows the man walking with a group of people across North Main Street when a car hits him and sends him flying into the air.

The man, a 25-year-old from Brockton, has serious injuries and the driver did not stop. Police said they have towed the car they believe hit the man.

The victim and his friends apparently had been in the Spot Bar and Lounge prior to the crash.  The bar's owner told FOX25 this wasn't the first time someone had been hit near his bar. The owner said he now plans on having his security team help people cross the street safely.

The victim is in extremely critical condition at a Boston hospital and hasn't regained consciousness since being hit.
