ROXBURY, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A child is facing suspension after allegedly bringing weapons to a Roxbury school Wednesday.
At about 10 a.m., officers responded to the Higginson-Lewis K-8 School after learning that an 11-year-old student carried a pink stun gun and pocket knife into the building. The student said she brought the weapons to impress her friends, according to police.
No students were hurt, as a teacher heard the sound of the stun gun and quickly confiscated it along with the knife.
School officials met with the child's mother and police say they have set up a plan for counseling and intervention.
The student may be suspended from school, but no charges have been filed.
