NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. — Police say a 38-year-old man from Stow died after colliding with a pickup truck on Interstate 290 in Northborough Sunday night.
Massachusetts State Police said the crash happened around 8:20 p.m. on I-290 west when a 2016 Ford Ranger, driven by the man from Stow, collided with a 2000 Ford pickup driven by a 30-year-old man from Johnston, Rhode Island.
The driver from Stow was transported to UMass Memorial Medical Center in cardiac arrest and later died. The Rhode Island man suffered minor injuries, MSP said in a news release.
A preliminary investigation suggests that the driver from Stow had a medical issue that caused the crash, police said.
The identity of the driver who died will be released after family is notified.
