Body found in Charles River identified as Zachary Marr

BOSTON — State Police said they have found a body in the water of the Charles River.

The body was found Tuesday evening around 6 p.m. near the locks behind the Leverett Circle state Police Barracks near the Museum of Science.

State Police have been searching in this area for the body of Zachary Marr who was last seen in February leaving the Bell in Hand Tavern. Surveillance video shows him in the Leverett Circle area shortly after leaving the bar.

By 7 p.m. State Police had identified the body as Marr. Police said two passersby on a sidewalk found the body.

"Preliminary evidence does not immediately suggest violent trauma, but the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of his death." the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office told FOX25.
