SPENCER (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - A 57-year-old Spencer man and native of Poland was believed to have died Saturday morning in a fire at his apartment.
A body believed to be that of of Zbigniew Waisk of 10 Cherry St., Apt. 5, was found by firefighters on the floor of Waisk's apartment about 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Investigators believe the fire originated in Waisk's apartment between 3 and 4 a.m. All other residents of the two-story building, which contains six apartments, were able to safely escape the blaze.
