Several headstones were found toppled over at a cemetery in West Roxbury.
Boston Police say they're aware of what happened at Saint Joseph Cemetery in West Roxbury, and said they are now investigating.
A Boston 25 News photographer found six in one of the sections of the cemetery knocked over, with many people saying they stopped by Sunday afternoon to see if the headstones of their loved ones had been affected.
Peggy Rose shared pictures of headstones she found that were also affected, and told Boston 25 News her parents' headstones were thankfully not touched.
My cherished parents are buried near this vandalism at St. Joseph's Cemetery. This is incredibly disturbing, disrespectful and disgusting. I hope the Boston Police arrest and prosecute the person or persons responsible for this crime. pic.twitter.com/w83g8I2ZAt
