A second man was arrested and charged in connection with an apparent homicide in Lowell, authorities say.
Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan sent out a release on Saturday, saying 24-year-old Dracut native Jeffrey Puryear was arrested on Saturday morning after the incident on July 26.

The charges come after 40-year-old Lowell native Saro Mann was killed in an apparent homicide on Walker Street, and preliminary investigations suggest the incident was a home invasion.

Puryear joins 41-year-old Lowell native Samundi Cobb as the two suspects charged with armed assault in a dwelling in connection to the case.

Cobb was arraigned in court on Friday, and is being held without bail until a dangerousness hearing on August 3.
Ryan said the investigation is ongoing, and additional charges may be issued.
