BOSTON — (AP) — Repairs to one of the two bridges connecting Cape Cod to mainland Massachusetts have wrapped up ahead of schedule.
The completion of the work on the Sagamore Bridge means crews will be able to get to work sooner on the other span, the Bourne Bridge.
All lanes of traffic will be open on the Sagamore Bridge beginning Sunday, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers says.
That’s a month earlier than an expected.
Work will soon commence on the Bourne Bridge, where traffic will be restricted to one lane in either direction. That project is slated to be completed before Memorial Day.
