ROCHESTER, Mass. — He is only 4 years old, but Graham Levenson is already giving the big name coffee shops a run for their money.
Graham sells coffee and lemonade for 75 cents a cup at the end of his driveway, which sits on a dead end street in the small Massachusetts town with a population of about 5,500.
The young entrepreneur makes the coffee himself.
"He scoops and grinds it and pushes the button to start the pot in the morning," Graham's mom, Mary Levanson, told Boston 25 News. "That's been his job for years. I think he learned to count by counting the scoops of coffee for me."
Graham originally wanted to sell corn on "his side of the road" after seeing a bunch of corn stands around town.
"Once the stand was built, he wanted to start the next morning, but I told him no one would buy corn at 7 a.m. on our dead-end street in Rochester," Mary said.
Graham opted for coffee and lemonade instead.
He just opened up shop on Monday and already has the support of the town's police officers.
Neighbor Maggie Robinson snapped a picture of two police officers stopping Tuesday morning to grab their cup of joe from Graham.
"He says he sells coffee during 'rush hour,'" Robinson said.
Mary said Graham sets up shop between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. before he has to come inside so she can get to work.
Graham is also taking his show on the road this weekend. He will be setting up his stand at a family friend’s house, which is located along the Pan-Mass Challenge route.
“I’m curious how long this will hold his 4-year-old interest for,” Mary said. “But we’ll be here until then.”
