MANCHESTER, N.H. (MyFoxBoston.com) - The reward is growing for information that leads to the killer of a Bedford, N.H woman.
It was one week ago Sunday when Denise Robert's body was found in Manchester.
One week later there is still so much mystery surrounding her death.
$25,000 is now up for grabs for the person who can lead Manchester police to Robert's killer.
She was found last Sunday in the city's north end after being shot in the neighborhood where she grew up and often walked for exercise.
The victim's sister and brother-in-law are offering an additional $5,000 for the reward fund Saturday bringing it to $25,000.
Family and friends still as unsure today about what happened as they were last week when the family spoke to reporters.
"We're still trying to make sense of the situation. What really happened and why. Right now, everybody's in a fact gathering mode, your guess is good as ours as to why this happened," Tom Robert, the victim's brother, said.
Denise, 62, worked in advertising sales for the New Hampshire Union Leader.
The paper's publisher spoke after Friday's funeral about the frustration over a lack of answers.
“The police don't seem to have a clue because she didn't have an enemy in the world. As the priest said at her funeral,” he said.
Manchester's police chief tells FOX25 Francoise Elise's recent $5,000 reward contribution reflects her love for her sister and a commitment to bring her justice.
While the continued reward money coming in from the community shows they are also invested in bringing justice for Denise Robert.
Anyone with information about the murder should call Manchester Police at (603) 668-8711.
