Reports of “high” activity in the outer Boston metro area and southeastern Massachusetts are now reported, whereas last week only northeastern Massachusetts saw high flu activity.
Doctors said it’s a 40 percent increase in total cases since last week.

This month both a teacher from Swampscott and a Needham mother died from flu complications.
