NEW YORK (MyFoxBoston.com) -- An op-ed piece from the New York Times is getting a lot of attention. The author, a social researcher living on New York's Upper East Side, says she interviewed stay-at-home moms who receive bonuses from their rich husbands.
The author, Wednesday Martin, says most of the women are highly educated with masters degrees and run their households like CEOs.
Martin says the women receive an "annual wife bonus" distributed based on how well they manage the home budget or whether their kids get into good private schools.
