The T offered shuttle buses between affected stations.
Power was restored and the regular service resumed just before 11 a.m.
Affected commuter Casey Billings wrote on Twitter that the power outage was "not all that fun but everyone remained calm and collected."
Hi Matthew and thanks for reaching out. The Power Department is currently on scene working to determine the exact cause of the problem. We don't have an estimate at this time.

.@MBTA @CityOfBoston @marty_walsh I think it’s time for T ferry service from East Boston to downtown/Seaport. So many people waiting for a water taxi due to #BlueLine delays that the dock is sinking! @EastieMBTA pic.twitter.com/Siaqpn4BRU
