Police searching for suspect after Arlington bank robbery

ARLINGTON, Mass. — Police are searching for a suspect after an unarmed bank robbery in Arlington.

Arlington Police responded to the incident at Winchester Savings Bank on Medford Street around 2:40 p.m. on Tuesday.

Police say a man allegedly walked into the bank and showed a teller a note while demanding money.

A surveillance photo showed the suspect was a white man in his late 30's or early 40's, wearing a black Boston Bruins hoodie and a baseball cap with heart-shaped sunglasses.

Police say the man fled towards High Street in Medford after the incident.

Arlington Police are investigating the robbery, and are asking for help if anyone has any information.

“We will utilize all assets at our disposal to hold the suspect responsible for this brazen robbery in our community,” Arlington Police Chief Frederick Ryan said. “If anyone heard or saw anything out of the ordinary this afternoon, I strongly urge them to contact police.”
