METHUEN, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect.
In surveillance footage released by officials, the knife wielding suspect can be seen walking into the Family Dollar on Jackson Street and pretending to buy candy. The second the register opens, he can be seen pulling out his knife and going straight for the money.
Three hours before the robbery, the CVS right up the block was robbed. The cashier at CVS said that she was so scared, she tried to slam his fingers into the register and jumped back.
"The fear is it's going to arise to a violent altercation," said Greg Gallant from the Methuen Police Department.
Police think the same suspect will continue to rob stores. Investigators say he's robbing stores in broad day light with customers inside.
The suspect has distinct tattoos on his hands and neck. Cameras at the scene were able to get a pretty good shot of him.
Anyone with information on the suspect is urged to call Methuen Police.
