LACONIA, N.H. — A man reportedly crashed a motorcycle into a utility pole, apparently hitting his head, before running away from the crash, Laconia police say.
Shortly after 4 a.m. Sunday morning, police say officers showed up on Union Avenue to find a motorcycle had hit a utlity pole. Witnesses told them the man hit head and on the utility pole and was lying face down nearby when he suddenly got up and took off.
Police say they couldn't find the motorcycle's drive and were told friends picked him up in the area. Officers say they know who the man is and are investigating "the circumstances of the accident."
He may have sustained a head injury and police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the accident to contact them at 603-524-5252.
