STOUGHTON, Mass. — A 20-year-old was stabbed early Sunday morning at a house party at the home belonging to the UMass Boston Chancellor J. Keith Motley.
"Knew it wasn't just a little party that got out of control. It seemed like something really went wrong," said neighbors Nick and Mike Silveira, just two doors down.

The victim, identified by Motley as Fabrice Emile, was at the party on Palisades Circle in Stoughton when he was repeatedly stabbed, police say.
The Silveiras said that there were cars parked up and down the streets. Around 2 a.m., a lot of people left. Stoughton Police said the stabbing happened before 3 a.m. and a 911 call was made from the house, but said friends drove the victim to get help, flagging down the ambulance.
James Keith Motley was not home at the time of the party, but arrived home early Monday morning after some traveling.
"I have learned about an incident that occurred at my residence last night and am very concerned about it as well as the health of the young man who was injured. I was traveling and not home at the time, but I am returning as quickly as possible so that I can fully understand what happened and respond accordingly. I will have more to say at that time," he said.
The chancellor said he is primarily concerned with the well-being of his family and the man who was injured. He also said Monday afternoon that he was going to let the police do their investigation before commenting on specifics of what happened.
The young man injured was taken to the hospital, but Motley said he is "in good spirits" and the man's parents are with him in the hospital.
"I am so happy that Fabrice is recovering and in good spirits, and it was a pleasure to talk with him and his parents, Joseph and Victoria, this morning," Motley said.
Police are asking anyone who may have been at the party or may know anything to contact them at 781-344-2575.
