NEW SALEM, Mass. — State police say a pilot is uninjured after landing on a sandbar at Quabin Reservoir.
The pilot reported engine problems before the emergency landing, and police specify this is not a crash.
A state police helicopter and boat responded to the scene where the pilot was seen walking around speaking with troopers.
Plane is intact. Pilot reported engine problems prior to landing on sandbar. Plane DID NOT crash. MSP boat, troopers enroute to plane.
MSP Air Wing has visual contact w/ plane. Plane is upright on its wheels. FAA also notified of its landing. No further info available now.

SkyFox flew over the scene after the landing and the plane was sitting upright and fully intact on the sand bar.
It's unclear how or when the plane will be removed.
