FITCHBURG, Mass. (AP) - A young moose that's been on the loose in Fitchburg this week has been tranquilized and will be relocated.
The moose was seen wandering through backyards starting Monday and was finally cornered and tranquilized Tuesday morning.
Environmental Police Lt. Anthony Wolski says State Fish and Wildlife officials will now move the incapacitated animal to a remote location away from humans.
The moose drew a crowd but officials did their best to the keep the public away to avoid scaring the animal.
