OAK BLUFFS (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) Hundreds of people descended on Martha's Vineyard this weekend for the 26th annual Monster Shark Tournament.
The annual event ran from Thursday to Saturday.
Although in recent weeks there has been great interest in Great White sharks spotted off the coast of Massachusetts, this event centers on three other types of shark. According to the tournament's rules, only Thresher, Porbeagle, and Mako were counted in the scoring.
The top five finishers were awarded various highly valuable prizes.
