HINGHAM, Mass. — A woman has died after she was hit by a pickup truck outside a courthouse on the South Shore.
The Hingham Police Department said that the 56-year-old Bridgewater woman was struck at about 11:14 a.m. Monday in front of the Hingham District Courthouse.
The Plymouth County District Attorney identified the victim as Heidi Folsom, 56, of Bridgewater. The DA said Folsom had been in court before the crash for a case that was continued until January.
Police say she was hit by a Ford F350 truck traveling north on George Washington Boulevard. The name of the driver, a 23-year-old Hingham man, hasn't been released.
The woman died after being taken to a hospital. Police say they're still investigating what caused the collision and haven't filed any citations or charges against the driver.
