Many were wondering what the team would do after a week of controversy surrounding the Patriots and NFL.
Last Friday, President Donald Trump said that NFL players who didn't stand during the national anthem should be fired. Two days later on Sunday, dozens of NFL players took a knee during the national anthems before their respective games, including 17 Patriots players.

While many NFL fans expressed anger with what they described as a lack of respect, others said that the players had the right to make a statement.
Earlier this week, Patriots Danny Amendola said, "from my understanding, I think we're all going to stand. But it's not Sunday yet."
Amendola was correct, with all of the players and coaching standing.
Per normal FOX Sports rules, the national anthem was not shown on T.V. due to commercial breaks.
