A gunman who used an assault rifle and a handgun opened fire inside an Orlando nightclub early Sunday before killing at least 50 and leaving 53 injured – some critically.
The gunman, who was killed by SWAT team members after a 3-hour standoff, opened fire on the more than 300 in the club around 2 a.m. Sunday.
With 50 dead, the shooting becomes the deadliest single-day mass shooting spree in American history.
