The incident began when police said they tried to pull over Genesio Fernandes for speeding.

Police said he wouldn’t stop and continued into Northbridge where he crashed into a truck.

An unidentified woman inside the car that crashed was taken to a hospital.

“It makes it very scary," witness Andrea Place said. "I run a home daycare, so I was hoping that they would get him because I'm in here with kids all day. I just want to make sure everyone is safe."

After Fernandes crashed his car, he started running toward Grafton but was captured soon after.

He now faces several charges including failure to stop and leaving the scene of a crash with personal injury.
