No injuries in 2-alarm house fire in Dorchester

DORCHESTER, Mass. — A 2-alarm fire broke out early Wednesday on the top floor of a house on Melville Avenue, but all of the occupants made it out without any injuries.

Firefighters encountered heavy fire and smoke in the back of the single-family home according to the Boston Fire Department. The fire was knocked down around 3 a.m. All three occupants, who were house sitting while the owners were on vacation, got out of the house safely, Deputy Chief Andre Stallworth said.
