WESTWOOD, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com / AP) - Officials say a New Hampshire teenager shoveling snow off the roof of a Massachusetts store has been injured in a fall through a skylight.
The 17-year-old student was part of a crew shoveling the roof of Frugal Fannie's clothing store in Westwood on Tuesday morning when he fell.
A Westwood Fire Department spokesman says he fell about 25 feet and was flown to a Boston hospital with undisclosed injuries.
He was conscious and stable when transported.
No name was released.
Witnesses and co-workers say his fall was broken by a clothing rack.
Public schools are off in New Hampshire this week.
Two people died in falls from roofs in Canton recently. One person died last Wednesday after falling from a roof, and another man died Sunday after walking over a snow-covered skylight. The skylight then gave way, sending the man plunging roughly 40 feet. He was rushed to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
