EXETER, NH (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Police are investigating after an apparent murder-suicide in Exeter, N.H. Tuesday.
Police first responded to the home at 6 Oak St. at about 11:39 a.m. for a welfare check and found a man and woman, both with gunshot wounds. SkyFOX flew over the scene on Oak Street just before 4 p.m. where officials appeared to be investigating inside.
"I don't know that we've established a timeline yet. All we know is that part of the family was concerned about the occupants this morning, so that's when the welfare check was started," said Assistant Attorney General Susan Morrell.
The murder-suicide claimed the lives of Jennifer Noll, 43, and Richard Sanderson, 49. Police say it appeared Sanderson killed Noll before turning a gun on himself.
Investigators said the couple had recently moved into the home, but didn't say if Sanderson had a criminal record.
Neighbors said they were shocked after seeing the police tape around the house.
"As I drove around the corner, there were six cruisers, marked and unmarked," neighbor Jennifer Briggs said.

Autopsies were performed Wednesday and the medical examiner determined that Noll's death was caused by a gunshot to her head and the manner of death was homicide. Sanderson's death was caused by a gunshot through his mouth and the manner of death was suicide.
The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call Sergeant Sara Hennessey of the State Police Major Crime Unit at 603-271-3636.
