MERRIMACK, N.H. (MyFoxBoston.com) – A Merrimack, New Hampshire man was arrested Friday on assault charges.
At around 8:08 p.m., Merrimack police responded to an apartment complex after a neighbor reported hearing a woman screaming. Upon arrival, police found the apartment in disarray, officials say. The victim told police that they were assaulted and held down by Joshua Danforth. The victim also stated that Danforth stole the SIM card from their phone.
After an investigation, police arrested Danforth, 28, on charges of domestic/simple assault, domestic/false imprisonment and theft by unauthorized taking. He was unable to post $3,000 cash bail and was transported to the Hillsborough County Jail.
He is due in court on Feb. 18.
