Police find multiple weapons in suspect’s car while investigating threats of violence against former coworkers

MERRIMACK, N.H. — A Derry, NH man was arrested and charged after police say he made threats of violence towards employees at his former job and later drove by the building with multiple firearms, according to a release from Merrimack Police.

That suspect has been identified as 29-year-old Corey Godinez. He has been charged with attempted first-degree assault, attempted second-degree assault, criminal threatening, harassment and loitering or prowling.

Police say that Godinez threatened former coworkers with violence.

“[Godinez indicated] that he had enough firepower to take people out, and that he did not care how many people had to get hurt,” Merrimack Police said in an official press release.

The next day, the suspect allegedly drove by the building while officers were investigating the threat. Police stopped Godinez’s vehicle and took him into custody after learning that he had weapons in his car at the time of the stop.

While executing a search warrant on Godinez’s car, police claim they found an AR-15 rifle with multiple loaded magazines and additional ammunition, as well as a loaded handgun.

A spokesman for LifeLine Ambulance released a statement to Boston 25 News regarding the incident involving Godinez.

The suspect will appear in Hillsborough County Superior Court South on Tuesday, February 18.
