Britax issues recall on infant car seats

A carry handle defect has prompted the recall of certain models of Britax infant car seats and travel systems.

The recall involves products manufactured between October 2014 and July 1, 2015.

The affected products include the B-Safe 35, the B-Safe 35 Elite, the B-Agile 3/B-Safe 35 travel system and the B-Agile 4/B-Safe 35 travel system.

The company stresses that other than the handle, the product is safe and can be used as long as it is secured in a vehicle or stroller. Consumers should use caution when lifting the car seat and not carry by the handle until the repair kit has been applied.
