NASHUA, N.H. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A Nashua man allegedly killed a woman Saturday evening before barricading himself in his home surrounded by firearms, then apparently died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to the New Hampshire attorney general's office.
Police are still investigating the suspected murder-suicide.
At approximately 11 p.m., police responded to a call that there was a dead woman on the Baldwin Street Bridge. FOX 25's Crystal Haynes reports that Meg Halley is the deceased woman.
Following the reporting of Halley's body at the bridge, police reportedly became aware of a man who was inside his home on Hutchinson Street, surrounded by firearms and refusing to come out. The police department deployed its SWAT team to entice the man to come out, before entering the home and finding the man dead.
That man is Allen Rediker, reports Haynes. He was in a long-term relationship with Halley. The two have adult children but are not married, neighbors told Haynes. Police did not confirm their identities.
The attorney general's office said police did not fire their weapons when entering the home on Hutchinson Street.
