NEWTON, Mass. — Officials from Mount Ida College will meet privately with the Board of Higher Education Thursday.
The meeting comes two weeks after the liberal arts school in Newton announced it is closing.
The school made a deal with UMass Amherst, who is acquiring the college in a $75 million deal.
Since the announcement, students have been struggling to figure out their plans for the next school year, as UMass does not offer all of the same majors.
