CHATHAM, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A 15-year-old miniature horse was rescued from a sinkhole in South Chatham Friday.
Chatham firefighters were called to a home just after 6 a.m. to remove the animal from a hole that was between three and four feet deep. They said it appeared to have been the cesspool of an old septic system.
Firefighters dug a ramp for the horse to walk out of the hole. The horse was not injured, but was apparently agitated by the incident.
