BOSTON — Do you work late? The MBTA is testing out expanded late-night bus services.
Starting Sunday, Sept. 2, expanded bus service will be offered from 10 p.m. to 3 a.m. every night. The expansion includes additional trips, later scheduling and route variations to include stops in areas where service is most needed.
The expanded late-night service is running as a pilot program. The MBTA will measure ridership to determine if the service should become permanent.
The MBTA says the program will allow service after 2 a.m. in Dorchester, Roxbury, Charlestown, Everett, East Boston, and Lynn and allow for more bus trips to and from Boston, the surrounding neighborhoods, and Logan Airport
As always, check schedules for information on nearby routes.
