Man stabs Brockton restaurant employee

BROCKTON, Mass. — A Brockton restaurant employee is currently recovering from a stab wound after a man stabbed him on Friday night.

Police officers were dispatched to 265 North Pearl Street, or Frank's Restaurant/Foxy Lady, just before 7 p.m. for reports of an assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

At the scene, officers found a man lying on the side of the building suffering from apparent stab wounds. The man was later identified as a Frank's employee, who was being helped by friends and co-workers.

The employee described the suspect as a white man, approximately 5'8" wearing a gray sweat suit.

A State Police K9 unit was called to assist Brockton Police in their search for the suspect.

The 49-year-old victim was transported to Good Samaritan Medical Center for treatment of a non-life threatening stab wound.

Authorities are currently investigating this incident and interviewing witnesses as they search for the assailant.
