HOLBROOK, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- One person involved in a head-on collision in Holbrook Sunday has died.
Robert Ball, 55, of Holbrook, was flown to Tufts Medical Center in Boston by medical helicopter. Three other people were taken to the hospital. Ball died overnight.
The two-car crash happened Sunday afternoon on South Franklin Street. An off-duty firefighter was nearby at the time and stopped to help until more first responders arrived. Ball was driving a blue Oldsmobile that was apparently traveling on the wrong side of the road at the time of the crash, according to the Norfolk County District Attorney's office.
The Oldsmobile struck a Honda head-on, and the two passengers in that car, along with the passenger in the Oldsmobile have serious injuries but are expected to survive.
