NEWTON, Mass. — A man is fighting for his life after being hit by a train in Newton.
Transit police tell us this happened at the Waban stop on the D branch of the Green Line around 9 p.m.
The man suddenly walked into the path of the train as it pulled into the station, police told Boston 25 News.
He was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries.

As a result, buses are replacing trains between the reservoir and riverside stops.
