Man found dead believed to have fallen from building, police investigating

LYNN, Mass. — Police in Lynn are investigating after a man was found dead near an apartment complex on Friday evening.

The Lynn Fire Captain told Boston 25 News both firefighters and police responded to Ocean Shores Apartments, a complex located at 50 Lynnway at around 5 p.m. for reports of a person who had fallen from the building.

At the scene, firefighters found a man lying face down on the ground. The unidentified victim was pronounced dead on the scene.

Authorities say it appears as though the man fell from a sixth story balcony. They added the victim possibly has a family member who lives on that floor.

The circumstances of this death are still unclear. Police continue to investigate the matter in order to determine if the man fell, jumped or if foul play was involved.
