REVERE, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – MBTA Transit Police say a man was struck and killed by a commuter rail train Thursday evening.
Investigator said the man was near the Oak Island Road crossing when he was struck by the 6:15 p.m. train to Boston. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
MBTA officials said the incident greatly impacted the rush hour commute and outbound trains were passing through at limited speeds.
An investigation is ongoing.
