Lowell Police arrest woman in connection with deadly shooting

LOWELL, Mass. — A woman has been arrested and charged with murder in connection with a shooting in Lowell Thursday afternoon.

Police said they received a call around 12:30 about a car crash after the driver was shot.

According to witnesses, Marc Devoe, 34, began driving after he was shot - he traveled a short distance before crashing into a concrete barrier near the Lowell YMCA.

Devoe was brought to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Lowell Police arrested Graciela Paulino, 20, and charged her with murder.

A preliminary investigation indicates Devoe and a passenger were driving at the Gallagher Transportation Terminal when they got into a fight with Paulino.

Police said this was a random shooting as a result of a possible road rage incident.

Paulino will be arraigned Friday in Lowell District Court.
