Man charged with murder in connection to fatal shooting of father & son in Framingham

FRAMINGHAM, Mass. — A 39-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection to the fatal shooting of two Framingham men last weekend, according to a press conference held by the Middlesex County District Attorney and Framingham Police.

Police arrested Aneudy Delgado Torres, 39, Tuesday and charged him with two counts of murder. He’s accused of killing a father and son in a Friday night shooting at a Framingham apartment complex.

The victims have been identified as 45-year-old James ‘Manny’ Wade and his son, 24-year-old James Wade Jr.

“James was my older son, I will never get him back,” said Yolanda Ellison, the mother of the 24-year-old victim. “It’s the worst news you ever want to hear, your son got shot.”

Police are still investigating but say the area is known for drugs. They believe the father and son were meeting people they knew and when arrived to that parking lot where Delgado Torres allegedly pulled a gun suddenly and fired.

“Up to now, I don’t understand,” said Gail Ritter, the sister of James ‘Manny’ Wade and aunt of 24-year-old James. “My nephew is not a street thug. He worked hard.”

“Investigators have also learned that the parking lot adjacent to Beaver Terrace Circle is an area where drug transactions take place,” said Middlesex County DA Marian Ryan. “Recently there has been competition between two drug dealers for control of that area.”

The relationship between the victims and Delgado Torres is under investigation.

James Wade Jr. was working at MIT for six years doing utility work while his father recently started working at Boston University as a cook.

“As a mom, I just want to roll up and crumble in a corner like a plastic bag, but I can’t,” Yolanda said.

During the investigation, police found a bullet that traveled through a door and ricocheted into a house above where a 4-year-old was child was sleeping. Thankfully that child is okay. Authorities want to stress that the shooting is still in the very early stages of the investigation.
