WELLESLEY, Mass. — "We are very concerned, and that's all we are going to say," said the veteran's mother.
A driver told police he was driving west on Route 9 near Cedar Street Thursday when he slowed down for road construction. Police said that's when a black Toyota sedan behind him changed lanes and pulled up next to him. Police said a man in the black Toyota then honked his horn and made a profane hand gesture. He then allegedly showed a gun, which he pointed in the man's direction.

FOX25's Blair Miller was in court on Friday and Beagan barely made eye contact with anyone. According to the police report, an officer asked Beagan how he felt when the other driver crowded him. Began said that he felt anxious and has post-traumatic stress disorder, said police.
In court, Beagan's attorney, Bill Lenehan, said he was diagnosed after returning from Afghanistan as an army medic, where he saw two friends die on the battlefield.
"It was his responsibility in his mind to care for those guys. And when they died and that frustration of not being able to help never goes away," said Lenehan.
FOX25 has learned that Beagan legally obtained his gun license after being discharged from the Army. He also had two other guns in his home, said police.
The judge released Beagan, ordering an evaluation at the local Veteran's Administration and then he could return to court.
