LOWELL, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A Lowell man has been arrested and charged with murder in connection to the death of a woman inside his apartment on Saturday night.
Police responded to the apartment at 255 Walker St. at around 9:30 p.m. Saturday for a well-being check. Upon entering, police found a woman dead, with multiple stab wounds. The Middlesex County District Attorney's office had not identified the victim as of Sunday afternoon.
After investigating the incident, police allege that 53-year-old James Sheedy, a resident of the apartment, stabbed the woman numerous times. He was arrested nearby and charged with murder.
Sheedy will be arraigned on Monday in Lowell District Court.
