Worcester man charged after fatal stabbing in back seat of livery vehicle

WORCESTER — A Worcester man has been charged in connection with a fatal stabbing in the back seat of a livery vehicle, Worcester Police said.

Ramon Castro, 53, of Main Street, arrested and charged with aggravated assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (knife, serious bodily injury).

About 8:25 a.m. Wednesday, Worcester Police officers were called to the area of a local hospital’s parking lot for a report of a stabbing.

When officers arrived, they found a 65-year-old male stabbing victim in the emergency room. Police have not yet identified the victim.

A preliminary investigation found that two men had been picked up by a livery vehicle, or a vehicle for hire, and one of the men was stabbed in the backseat of the vehicle.

The victim was pronounced dead at the hospital.
