Two people arrested for stabbing at Danvers sports complex

DANVERS — Two people have been arrested for a stabbing that took place at a sports complex in Danvers.

Danvers Police told Boston 25 about the stabbing at Danvers Indoor Sports on Thursday morning.

The facility is located at 150 Andover Street.

According to a press release from the Danvers Police Department, officers responded to the location around 11:08 p.m. for a reported assault.

When they arrived they were told two males were involved in a fight with a staff member.

The investigation led to the arrest of 21-year-old Crismael Lithgow of Revere and an unidentified 17-year-old.

Both are being charged with Armed Assault with intent to murder, and two charges of Assault & Battery to wit, for their use of feet and a knife.

Lithgow is expected to be arraigned Thursday morning at Salem District Court while the 17-yea-old will be arraigned at Salem Juvenile Court.

Officers from Peabody Police and Middleton Police along with the State Police K-9 unit.

The victim was treated on location and transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening issues.
