A Starbucks inside Boston’s South Station will be temporarily closed after rat droppings were recently found on the premises.

During a recent inspection, inspectors found rodent droppings throughout the establishment, the Inspectional Services Department told Boston 25 News.

The operator of the coffee shop was ordered to thoroughly clean, sanitize, and disinfect the entire establishment, hire a pet management company and discard all food that may have come in contact with the rodents.

The Starbucks will remain closed until inspectors reevaluate the shop and determine it is fit to resume operations.
