WASHINGTON — Two people were shot outside Nationals Park during the game between the Washington Nationals and the San Diego Padres, police said.
The shooting occurred outside of the Third Base Gate at Nationals Park, in the 1500 block of South Capitol Street, SW, according to police and the Washington Nationals.
Police said there is no ongoing threat at this time.
Cell phone video on social media captured fans leaving in droves to exit the stadium.
MPD is responding to a shooting in the 1500 block of South Capitol Street, SW, in which two people where shot outside of Nationals Park. This is currently an active investigation and it appears there is no ongoing threat at this time.

“Fans are encouraged to exit the ballpark via the CF and RF gates at this time,” the team said. “We’re working with law enforcement to provide more information as soon as it becomes available.”
