BOSTON — Two officers were injured when a brawl broke out inside a jail in Boston on Monday night, authorities said.
Officers responding to an altercation involving three detainees at the Suffolk County Jail on Nashua Street encountered additional assaultive detainees, according to the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department.
“Two officers from the response team reported injuries from this event. Both officers were treated and released from a local emergency room,” a department spokesperson said.
Investigators are reviewing the incident and working to determine appropriate action to take against those who were involved.
